FirstAdam: A Transparent Podcast for Men

Breach

Episode Summary

Repair the Breach: What Are You No Longer Protecting? Sometimes the greatest damage in a man's life isn't caused by what he does, but by what he stops doing. Marriages rarely fall apart overnight. Relationships with children don't suddenly become distant. Faith doesn't grow cold in a single moment. More often, the damage happens slowly, through small compromises, neglected responsibilities, and places where men simply stop showing up. In this episode of First Adam, we explore what it means to take spiritual responsibility for the people and places God has entrusted to us. Nehemiah's rebuilt Jerusalem's walls, but before he did that, he had to look at the Dung Gate and The Sheep Gate. It is a challenge for men to take an honest look at their own lives and recognize the areas they've allowed to fall into disrepair and where they need to start rebuilding. But recognizing what's broken is only the beginning. There are some things that need to be removed from our lives before restoration can begin. Bitterness, pride, unhealthy habits, and the need for control can quietly become obstacles to the very relationships we want to protect. And while identifying those things matters, real transformation requires more than good intentions. It requires surrender. What we stop tending, we start losing. The challenge isn't to become a perfect man overnight. It's to stop ignoring what needs attention, surrender what needs to change, and faithfully take responsibility for what's been placed in front of you. Because rebuilding isn't about one emotional moment, one powerful weekend, or one big decision. It's about what happens when life gets ordinary again. Perhaps it’s time to step up tot he wall and examine it again. The wall doesn't rise all at once. It rises when you keep showing up and keep building. Join us for an honest conversation about passivity, surrender, brotherhood, and the courage it takes to repair what's been broken.
